Film and laminate structure selection

Custom film can use CMYK process printing, spot colors, or a combination. Color targets may be coordinated through the Pantone Matching System or approved physical samples.
For many laminated structures, graphics are reverse printed so the ink is protected within the final laminate. The appropriate construction depends on the package and production method.
Lamination

Lamination bonds the selected webs into the structure established for the application. The combination can add barrier performance, sealability, strength, appearance, and protection for reverse-printed graphics.
Solventless or solvent-based lamination may be used as appropriate for the materials, adhesive system, package performance, and converting requirements.
Controlled curing and aging

Laminated rolls are held under controlled conditions so the adhesive can cure and the laminate can develop the required bond strength before downstream converting or release.
Time and environmental parameters are determined by the adhesive system, laminate structure, application, and manufacturer specifications. Controlled staging supports consistent curing, traceability, and reduced risk of premature converting or delamination.
Slitting, rewinding, and inspection

Wide master rolls are converted into the specified finished roll widths and lengths. Precision slitting and controlled rewinding support clean edges, accurate dimensions, consistent tension, and appropriate roll density.
Finished rolls are inspected against the relevant program requirements so they are prepared for predictable handling and performance on the packaging line.
Packaging, labeling, and shipping
Protect and Identify Every Shipment
Finished rolls can be bagged and packed in corrugated cartons with core protectors, corner protection, foam, or bubble wrap as required by the roll configuration and shipping plan.
Labels can identify the part number, lot number, roll SKU, roll length or weight, and other agreed information. Delivery windows, split shipments, and destination requirements are coordinated as part of the program.
